**About The Role**

As the Head of Property Assets for Australia, you will have strong and proven experience in inspiring and leading a commercial property team to drive outcomes for customers and stakeholders. You will have responsibility for the ongoing asset management (including Repairs & Maintenance) for Care Homes and Villages Property activities across Bupa Australia.

**Duties**
- Create forecasts and detailed forward plans
- Manage the annual maintenance plans and budget and implement to agreed programme
- Provide input and feedback to the design and construction of new developments particularly regarding the running costs and sustainability of the project
- Build a high performing team of property experts who work across Bupa Australia to manage Care Homes and Village assets in the best interests of our customers
- Oversee the establishment and maintenance of key relationships with suppliers, demonstrating commerciality in contract negotiation
- Develop and implement Australia Health and Safety strategy and plans
- Oversee management of main contractors and any external project management resource to oversee the projects, including ensuring that Health and Safety strategy and plans are being followed
- Develop project business cases and cash flow projections
- Demonstrate leadership and behaviour consistent with Bupa values
- Deliver on Bupa’s sustainability goals

**Skills and Experience**
- Minimum of 10 years experience / proven project management track record
- Strongly developed customer focus
- Significant business, commercial and financial acumen
- Expert level experience of successful negotiations, with evidence of having applied innovative thinking, persuasive and negotiating skills and high level strategic planning
- A strong understanding of customer experience and customer centricity principles
- Experience in working effectively within a matrix style organisation, with outstanding cross-functional stakeholder management, working across organisational structures, with the gravitas to influence at the most senior levels
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas simply and to all levels and audiences within the organisation
