Crisis Management plays a pivotal role in ensuring ANZ's preparedness and resilience in the face of unexpected events and emergencies. This position demands strategic foresight, strong leadership, and the ability to foster a culture of readiness across all levels of the organisation. What will your day look like?
**As an Enterprise Crisis Manager, you will**:
Developing and Implementing Crisis Management Plans
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure development and refinement of crisis management plans that encompass various scenarios and potential risks.
Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure plans are comprehensive and actionable.
Leading Proactive Crisis Preparedness Efforts
Conduct risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities, which in turn identify requirements for plans and training.
Develop, implement, and manage internal stakeholder communication strategies to maintain transparency and manage expectations during crises.
Conducting Training and Simulation Exercises
Organise and facilitate regular training sessions and simulations to raise awareness and prepare stakeholders/staff for crisis scenarios.
Review performance during exercises and identify areas for improvement in crisis response.
Managing Incident Response
Develop, implement, and manage processes for immediate response to incidents, ensuring swift and effective response.
Act decisively as the primary point of contact during crises, providing clear facilitation and guidance
Post-Crisis Evaluation and Improvement
Participate in Post-Crisis reviews to assess response effectiveness.
Identify lessons learned and recommend improvements to crisis management plans and procedures.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Demonstrated experience in crisis management, emergency response, or a related field, at an Enterprise level.
Relevant professional certifications or qualifications in business continuity management, risk management, emergency management or related field are desirable.
Proven experience developing and implementing risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
Effective understanding of the financial services industry, relevant regulators (e.g., ASIC, APRA, AUSTRAC), and current and proposed financial services regulatory and legislative requirements.
Strong leadership skills, capable of making critical decisions under pressure and capable of guiding teams through complex and challenging situations.
Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal, with the capacity to interact confidently and ability to convey information clearly and effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
Successful track record of internal and external senior stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience in delivering training or exercising small groups of people from cross-functional areas.
Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities to anticipate potential issues and devise proactive solutions.
Flexibility and adaptability to manage evolving situations, changing priorities and remain calm under pressure.
