**Position Objective**
The Out of Home Care Compliance / Accreditation Officer provides support, advice and analysis in the development, implementation and review of key governance initiatives, including compliance and Office of Children’s Guardian accreditation management.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Ensure the Agency complies with the Office of Children’s Guardian NSW Child Safe Standards for Permanent Care.
- Identify and implement new approaches and processes to improve quality management and outcomes
- Report on compliance and accreditation progress
- Provide assistance to Office of Children’s Guardian auditors
- Monitor agency compliance systems to ensure their effectiveness
- Audit agency policies and procedures, guidelines and protocols to ensure there are no violations of standards
- Work in collaboration with the Leadership Team as necessary to address compliance and accreditation issues
- Design or implement improvements in communication and monitoring of compliance to the standards

**Essential Criteria**:

- Appropriate qualifications and experience in PSP and or Adoptions.
- Excellent knowledge of sector legislation, regulation, standards and codes of practice, and sector ‘best practice’
- Experience in developing strong relationships with internal stakeholders to build capacity for teams to effectively meet the agency’s compliance obligations
- Proven ability to undertake research and analyse to identify agency’s compliance and audit requirements.
- Experience in managing quality management systems, conducting internal audits and coordinating external audits
- Excellent knowledge of the social services sector, in particular the out of home care sector, the issues facing the sector and governance requirements
- High Level analytical and written communication skills and the ability to analyse a situation, determine essential elements and prepare detailed reports.
- Experience developing tools and systems for monitoring and reporting purposes.
- Ability to drive effective change management
- Strong focus on producing the highest quality of work and on ensuring optimum accuracy of outputs
- National Criminal Record History Check and Working with Children Check
- Ability to undertake the duties of the role in accordance with our clients Mission, Vision and Values.
- Working knowledge of Carelink, and CTARS is desirable
