Butchers Assistant

Alpha Fresh is a local rapidly growing wholesale food provider servicing the hospitality industry daily with market fresh fruit & veg, meat, poultry and seafood. Based in Hume ACT, we are Canberra's leading fresh food wholesaler.

We are looking for a reliable, motivated individual to join our meat department team. Working early hours from 5am to 1pm the role entails a broad range of duties from the butchery to the warehouse and yard.

Working directly under the Lead Butcher it will be the responsibility of the applicant to
- Assist in the mincing, slicing and dicing of all types of meat
- Assist in the packaging and labelling meat products to customer requirements and health standards
- Pick and pack customer orders
- Assist in the rotation and management of stock and stock levels
- Clean and sanitise butchery equipment and warehouse areas

Requirements and essential skills
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Punctual and reliable
- Flexible working hours

No previous experience required and all training will be provided.

**Salary**: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour

- Afternoon shift
