**Job Description**:
Newly created opportunity for a highly analytical **Data **Modeler** to join our Group IT Division.

Reporting into the Head of Insights, you will be working closely with Data Architects/Engineers/Analysts to implement data modelling solutions to streamline and support enterprise information management.

As the **Data Modeler**, you will:

- Analyse and translate business needs into long-term solution data models.
- Work with the development team to create conceptual data models and data flows.
- Review modifications of existing systems for cross-compatibility.
- Transform the logical representation of the model into a physical representation and work with database administrators to instantiate and manage the data.
- Update and optimizing local and metadata models.
- Evaluate implemented data systems for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency.

**Qualifications**:
**To be successful in this role, you will need**:

- 5+ years of hands-on data modelling experience, developing statistical models, preferably in a global transport and logistics environment.
- Experience in BI and Analytics, with an excellent understanding of data, data structure and segmentation.
- Experience working with relational databases such as SQL.
- Experience working with Azure Synapse and Microsoft Purview.
- Experience in metadata management and related tools.
- Knowledge of CargoWise1 highly advantageous
- Ability to operate successfully in an environment with a degree of ambiguity and change
- Degree qualification in Information Technology or related field
