**About the role**

As Field Worker A, you will be part of the Sports Maintenance team and will be responsible for undertaking general grounds maintenance within Ipswich City Council’s sports grounds.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

- Establish and maintain to Council Standards sports turf areas and gardens in Various Sporting Venues and assist with minor landscape construction works as required.
- Identify and treat diseases in turf and garden plants.
- Identify and treat weeds.
- Undertake the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems.
- Ensure all machinery and equipment under the team’s control is maintained to manufacturer’s specifications and Council standards.

**About you**

- Current C Class Driver’s Licence.
- FIT Testing - Respiratory protection equipment:
Workers must pass a respirator fit test before they first start wearing a tight-fitting respirator and at regular intervals during their employment.

Workers must be clean-shaven or only have facial hair that doesn’t interfere with the fitting surfaces and the valve of the respirator.
- Immunisation**:
To undertake this position, you may be asked to be immunised against Q Fever
- A pre-employment medical will be required for this role (Drug and Alcohol Testing)

This is a permanent position, LGE Level 2 - 4 with a salary commencing at $61,723 plus superannuation of up to 12.5%.
