**The Role**:
We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced Anaesthetists to join an expanding department and assist in meeting the ever-increasing service demand of a swiftly growing population. Your opportunity to join a hospital currently undergoing redevelopment and will provide **_WORLD CLASS HEALTH FACILITIES_** **- _more than $1billion project_

**Salary package up to $393,988**
- Up to $55,000 in reimbursement of relocation expenses for permanent and long-term appointments
- Attraction, Retention, and Incentive allowance of $50,000 per year pro-rata

The Department provides a comprehensive range of clinical anaesthesia services for all surgical specialities including cardiothoracic, neurosurgery and paediatric surgery along with an active preadmission clinic, a post-anaesthesia care unit and an acute and chronic pain management service. The Department has a strong commitment to excellence, quality, and safety in clinical care.
- The Department of Anaesthesia, Peri-operative Medicine and Pain Management is a busy department that facilitates over 32, 000 anaesthetic procedures (elective and emergency) per year. Perioperative Medicine has become a significant focus of the department.**PROVIDING WORLD-CLASS HEALTH FACILITIES** - the Hospital is expanding to include a new emergency, surgical and critical healthcare building, with more operating rooms, more treatment spaces and more intensive care beds. In a first for Australia, the new emergency and critical care facility will be an all-electric building, helping to minimise the carbon footprint of the hospital. Medical imaging capabilities will be improved for clinicians and patients through the addition of an MRI machine, three computer tomography (CT) machines and an Orthopantomogram (OPG) machine for diagnostic scanning.**New operating facilities in the building will include**:

- 16 general digital robot-enabled operating theatres
- four hybrid suites combining imaging and surgical capability.
- one intraoperative MRI machine for diagnostic and procedural work
- two interventional radiology suites supporting less invasive procedures.

**PLUS**
- A new Emergency Department with 147 spaces
- New and improved intensive care facilities
- 22 operating theatres
- Dedicated paediatric beds and spaces for children within the new emergency department and intensive care unit.
- The new **Intensive Care Unit** (ICU) will double what is currently available from 30 to 60.

**The Hospital**:
The Hospital is a 600+ bed tertiary trauma and referral hospital providing services to the Region (population 500,000). The hospital provides services in all specialties except major burns, spinal injuries, and solid organ transplantation. There are accredited training programs in all major specialties. The hospital is the principal teaching hospital of the Australian National University (ANU) Graduate Medical Program.**The Location**:
