**Department**

Alfred Health Radiation Oncology is a leading cancer service with state-of-the-art technology enabling advanced treatment to cancer patients. The service is comprised of two departments, Alfred Radiation Oncology (ARO) based at The Alfred and Gippsland Radiation Oncology (GRO) located at Latrobe Regional Hospital (LRH).

**Position Summary**

The Deputy Operations Manager Radiation Oncology assists the Director of Radiation Oncology and Operations Manager in the operational management of Radiation Oncology Services at Alfred Health with a particular focus on operational site management at ARO and financial reporting. The position is primarily based at ARO however travel between the two sites may be required.

The Deputy Operations Manager supports the Operations Manager in service delivery, development, financial management, promotion of the service, quality and patient safety and infrastructure management and planning.

**Qualifications and Experience Required**
- A health service management or business management qualification
- Knowledge of contemporary issues in health
- Strong experience in financial management including financial monitoring, budgeting and forecasting
- Previous experience in staff management
- Excellent communication skills
- Change management including culture change, redesigning care and system changes
- Leadership and management experience
