**12 month fixed term opportunity for a Student Experience Manager,Wirltu Yarlu**

Drawing on the broader objectives of Wirltu Yarlu, the Student Experience Manager is responsible for managing the Student Experience Team to deliver and provide support to future and commencing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students across the University.

Working with a degree of autonomy, under broad direction, you will be responsible for making significant contributions to the program by engaging with relevant Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholder groups and internal University stakeholders.

You will be expected to utilise best practice models to support and enhance positive outcomes for both the Student Experience Team programs and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

You will manage the day to day support and development of the Student Experience team, identifying and setting targets and workload priorities.

You will be responsible for forecasting and managing operational budget in line with program objectives and targets and ensure the delivery of services and program initiatives in line with the strategic goals of Wirltu Yarlu and the University.

To be successful in this role, you will have comprehensive awareness and understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people within the secondary and higher education sectors.

**To be successful you will need**:

- Demonstrated experience in managing and leading an effective team to deliver quality programs which enhance student engagement and experience and meet targets.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and collaborate with individuals and stakeholders.
- Experience in the effective management of budgets and program planning with demonstrated analytical, planning and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with strong interpersonal skills that allows you to build and maintain professional working relationships.
