About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time HR Advisor/Resourcing Coordinator to join our Maritime Sustainment business supporting the Hobart Class Destroyer (DDG) Program, based at Garden Island, NSW.
Reporting to the DDG Business Partner, you will be responsible for providing HR support to the Program, assisting the DDG People Business Partner, Program Leaders and Employees. During the Programs' start-up phase, initial focus of the role will be on resource mobilisation and on boarding.
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Provide front line support to employees and line managers across the employee lifecycle
- Support with executing the program's resource plan and ensuring the program fully meets its resourcing requirements
- Support the DDG HR Business Partner in delivering projects across the DDG Enterprise, comprising of multiple initiatives such as mobilisation and change activities, employee engagement activities, retention and culture.
- Develop consultative relationships with internal stakeholders to understand resourcing demand and together with the Talent Acquisition Team plan an attraction/sourcing strategy
- Contribute in site and HR functional resourcing meetings with stakeholders regarding the progress of DDG recruitment activity
- Contribute to and lead components of the DDG on boarding refresh project
About YOU
- Demonstrated experience providing operational HR generalist support and advice
- Prior experience in resourcing would be desirable
- Knowledge of employee legislation, controls and compliance required in an HR advisory environment
- Ability to engage with stakeholders to deliver excellent customer service and create a positive employee experience
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain
