**About the role**

The NSW Department of Education has an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced individual to join the Business Enablement team as an Assistant Procurement Officer, Governance who will:

- Coordinate and respond to first level procurement enquiries through the online ServiceNow system.
- Monitor compliance, assist risk management, and improve procurement performance with procurement governance and risk management framework.
- Assist team within Procurement with reporting and projects requirements.

**About you**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in procurement/construction management or in a related discipline and/or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Experience in providing high quality, customer focused administrative support in a fast paced, collaborative team environment.
- Work independently and where required to engage with colleagues to identify and solve problems.

**Key Knowledge and Experience**
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

**Essential requirements of the role**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in procurement or in a related discipline and/or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education
