Outcomes Coach

**About the role**

**_ This is a permanent part-time opportunity working 21 hours/ week (across 3 days), and will be based at Foyer in Chippendale_**

The role of Outcomes Coach involves working with Youth Development Coaches to prepare a young person for exiting Foyer Central. A critical part of the role is to document the outcomes (in accommodation, education, employment) of Foyer Central students for a 12-month period after they exit the program. This will involve engaging with and contacting young people regularly in the 12 months after they exit (and also their employers or other relevant organisations) and collecting information about their housing, employment and education status.

The role requires building strong relationships with young people and supporting them through Foyer Central’s exit processes, in order to collect specific data about them over the next 12 months. Accurate outcomes data is essential to the success of Foyer Central and will also ensure future investment in Foyers in NSW by both government and social investors.

**About Foyer Central**

Foyer Central is located in the heart of Sydney and offers 53 studio apartment style accommodation for young people with a lived experience of out of home care.

Foyer Central is a bold evidence-based program for young people aged 18-22, funded by a combination of social investment and government funding, and supporting young people’s transition to adulthood and independence.

Using a strength based Advantaged Thinking practice approach, the program aims to provide young people the opportunity to create a culture of ownership, inclusivity, creativity, respect and learning in a connected and vibrant community.

**What you need to succeed**

The role requires you to have strong abilities in building and maintaining positive relationships and communicating effectively in-person with both internal and external contacts, including those from a diverse background. You will have a thorough knowledge or demonstrated ability to quickly acquire knowledge within the community and social welfare sector, particularly in relation to vulnerable youth. It is also expected that you will have an excellent eye for detail and the ability to manage client information in Uniting’s data management system, as well as excellent written and verbal skills.
