Aged Care Team Leader

About the role
Permanent full-time Team Leader for our Home and Community Care Team
Work closely with our Care Coach to provide one on one guidance and support to our community aged care workers
Based at our South Nowra or Sanctuary Point offices with travel to other locations across the Illawarra & Shoalhaven to meet business and team needs
**Key responsibilities**:
Motivate support and lead our team of community care workers who provide services to aged care consumers in their own home
Monitor the standards of service delivery and client satisfaction and together with our Care Coach ensure staff performance and learning & development requirements are adequately monitored and addressed
Work collaboratively with the scheduling team, monitor the workforce numbers, capacity, efficiency and optimisation to meet client needs and choices
As an integral member of the Leadership team, work closely with our People & Culture team on workforce planning, recruitment activities, employee wellbeing and engagement initiatives
Assist in the planning and delivery of employee inductions, buddy peer support program, staff meetings, and training events/activities
Complete roster approvals and provide relief payroll support
**Skills and Experiences**:
About you
Team leadership experience within a community aged care or disability setting is desirable
Friendly and collaborative leadership style together with strong communication & interpersonal skills
Sound computer and administrative skills, including MS Office 365 (particularly Excel, Word, Teams), database, and rostering system exposure
Relevant qualification in Aged Care, Disability, Leadership or willing to obtain
Experience or knowledge of Community Aged Care Services and Quality Standards
Familiarity with the SCHADS Award would be an advantage but not essential
Australian Federal Police Check
Working with Children Check clearance
First Aid Certificate
Drivers Licence
Fully vaccinated for COVID, with at least 1 booster
Current car registration & comprehensive insurance with reliable vehicle
Applicants will be required to undertake a pre-employment functional fitness assessment
