**Selection Criteria**:
**SC1 **Excellent technical knowledge and understanding of IT, Infrastructure, systems and equipment including acquisition, installation and maintenance and its educational and administrative use in schools.

**SC2 **High level understanding and use of office systems, software or technical equipment as relevant to the position including Microsoft/Windows, Compass and Google systems.

**SC3 **Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to seek direction from Leadership when required.

**SC4 **Demonstrated ability to lead, work independently and as part of a team, including working cooperatively with the wider school community.

**SC5 **Demonstrated commitment to professional learning and capacity to adhere to DET policies and procedures relating to ICT practices in schools.

**Role**:

- Perform all aspects of the role in accordance with school and Department Policy and relevant internet safety legislation
- General desktop/notebook peripheral hardware and software support/installation
- Manage laptops and electronic devices
- A sound knowledge of Compass, Google Drive, Microsoft
- File servers and local area networking
- Maintain Projectors and AV systems
- Monitor and organise the installation maintenance of CCTV equipment
- Internet services, proxy servers and intranets
- Fix and replace items on Laptops as required including screens, batteries, etc.
- Perform other diversified and related duties under direction
- Undertake system design, program design and specification and direct programming changes necessary to enhance, modify or maintain computer systems, i.e. servers, etc.
- Set up student and school owned devices at the start of each year and assist with repairs and maintenance throughout the year.
- Liaise with service vendors for items such as telephone and photocopying vendors where necessary
- Log warranty and insurance work for student and staff devices
- Support Students IT Requirements
- Support NAPLAN, PAT and other testing platforms or programs
- Oversee and update website

**Attendance Requirements for this position is 52/52 with 4 weeks annual leave (pro rata)**

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain School Network
- Conducts routine technical procedures and/or data collection, collation and analysis
- Applies basic technical knowledge to diagnose and correct faults and problems with technical equipment
- Applies basic technical principles to enable the performance of a variety of interrelated technical tasks
- Contributes to a small project team providing technical support to a school and associated stakeholders
- Conducts training and/or instruction with respect to technical systems
