G.James has in-house Toolshop design, fabrication and maintenance services to support our Australian manufacturing and fabrication equipment, machines and tools. Our team includes qualified Toolmakers / Fitters & Turners who make and repair tools, dies, jigs, fixtures and other precision parts and equipment to fine tolerances, for our machine tools and other production machinery.

We are seeking an Apprentice Fitter Toolmaker (Fitter and Turner) to become an integral member of our Aluminium Products Toolroom based at Eagle Farm. You will work full-time while completing a Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (Fitting / Machining).

**The Role**:

- Ensure high quality workmanship whilst maintaining company standards
- Assist in the manufacture of extrusion die components across a variety of CNC and manual operations
- Use precision measuring equipment to verify components
- Follow procedures to ensure high standards are maintained

**About You**:

- Interested in tools and machinery, hands-on desire to making and fixing
- High level of mathematics
- Sound mechanical knowledge
- Experience in reading and interpreting drawings
- Previous exposure in a heavy machinery workplace would be a distinct advantage
