**ABOUT THE COMPANY.**

Our Client based is looking for a Payroll Officer to assist with the increase in workload. Your team is seeking stability and demonstrates a high level of drive and motivation to perform and develop.

**ABOUT THE POSITION.**

Immediate start - an initial 6 month opportunity with likelihood of extension and transitioning into a more stable position. A perfect opportunity to secure work life balance with WFH arrangements offered. Reporting to the Payroll Coordinator you will be assisting in duties to coordinate and produce a timely and accurate payroll.

**DUTIES.**
- Assist the Payroll Coordinator
- Process payroll functions (end-to-end)
- Process weekly payroll for permanent, temporary and casual staff
- Calculations, taxation and reconciliations as required
- Participate in the learning and development of new skills within Council as a Payroll Officer

**SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in payroll processing
- Experience in payroll processing in Local Council (preferred)
- Able to adapt your foundational payroll skills in a new environment
- High level of attention to detail & simple problem solving skills
- Strong work ethic
- Experience in payroll data capture, analysis and designing/generating reports

It is expected that you attend the office for the first couple of weeks before being assigned WFH days. You will be part of a creative environment in a modern office and be able to work autonomously and collaboratively.
