- This role is based in Breakwater, Geelong.

**Main tasks**:

- Mainly responsible for the first few months specifically welding aluminium pit lids. Must be confident & very capable aluminum welder
- Responsible for the fabrication, installation and maintenance of a wide variety of equipment and pipelines including workshops, pumping stations, sewer and water treatment plants, pipelines, water fleet and plant.
- Assigned activities will be performed both in the workshop and in field-based environments.
- Responsible for the general fabrication/installations of pipeline specials, structural steel components along with project work.
- Carry out General Boilermaker duties including the use of: welding (MIG, TIG, Stick), cutting (friction, Oxy & Acetylene, and profile cutting), grinding, heat treatment and stress relieving of steels.
- Responsible for the general Maintenance/installations/project work of assets and components.
- Carry out unplanned (breakdown) maintenance on failed, faulty or damaged assets to achieve best practice.
- Work cooperatively with other teams within the business and the
- Certificate III in Engineering E.g. Boilermaker
- A recognised qualification in the safe operation of gantry and truck-mounted cranes is desirable
- Experience in machining, testing, repair and maintenance of infrastructure
- Competent in the use of computers
- Demonstrated experience of current and emerging technologies related to field maintenance services is desirable
- An understanding of environmental issues facing the company and the community.
- An understanding of industrial relations issues and a commitment to EEO and OH&S practices.
- Ability to read and follow design plans for fabrication or machinery
