**Your new company**

A major state government department based in Perth CBD, are seeking an experienced Procurement and Contracts Support Officer to join the Procurement division. This role will be initially offered on a temporary engagement for 3-months, with the possibility of extension offered. You will be required to work full-time hours and will be paid competitively.

**Your new role**

As the Procurement Support Officer, you will be required to provide contract, procurement and administrative support to the wider division. Your duties will include:

- Developing and managing low risk contracts
- Liaising with key stakeholders and suppliers regarding contract matters
- Maintaining contract information and regularly updating the database with information
- Preparing, verifying and processing invoices for payments
- Assisting in delivering training on procurement activities to the wider business
- Undertaking research into procurement related trends and issues

**What you'll need to succeed**

In order to be considered, you will need:

- An understanding of contract management and administration
- Knowledge of government procurement processes (desirable)
- Previous experience operating procurement systems
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
