**About us**

Victim Services, Support and Reform (VSSR) is part of the Service Delivery Reform, Coordination and Workplace Safety Group within the Department of Justice and Community Safety. VSSR is responsible for the delivery and reform of services to victims of crime, placing victims at the centre of our justice system, as well as direct service provision through a range of programs including the Victims of Crime Helpline, Victims Register and the Victims Assistance Program.

**About the role**

The Workforce Strategy and Business Development Advisor will develop and deliver a workforce strategy to support the new entity and the transition from Victims of Crime Assistance Tribunal. The workforce strategy will include organisational design, recruitment, culture, capability, and practices to create and sustain the organisation.

In this role, you will:

- lead the design and delivery of the workforce strategy for the new Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS) for victims of crime organisation
- provide expert workforce and HR related advice to the reform project delivery team and relevant stakeholders
- collaborate and coordinate with the department's Workplace and People Services branches to align with employee and people focussed outcomes.

**About you**
- demonstrated experience in designing and implementing a workforce strategy to establish a new organisational business unit or entity ideally in a government setting
- substantial experience delivering HR services in a large complex organisation, which may include advice on workplace matters, performance management, workplace change, employee development and industrial relations
- a background working in talent, capability, leadership, engagement and delivering cultural change initiatives (highly desirable)
- demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- excellent communication skills, with the ability to develop options papers or strategy documents for communication at senior executive levels.

**IMPORTANT INFORMATION**:

Upon commencement of employment with the department you will be required to provide evidence that you have an up-to-date vaccination status within the timelines specified by the department into the DJCS Service Portal. This includes evidence of **three doses** of a COVID-19 vaccine required by the department (from time to time).

Acceptable evidence includes:

- COVID-19 digital certificate (available via your myGov account)
- Your immunisation history statement (available via your myGov account)

Other documentation outside the above will not be accepted as evidence of having received your COVID-19 vaccine doses.
