Trainee Glass Technician

Novus Auto Glass, offer chip and crack repairs, replacements and ADAS Calibrations on a range of different vehicles to businesses/ fleet and the general public.

We are looking for a trainee windscreen technician who can work well as a team as well as autonomously once trained, believe in the brand and build and develop great working relationships with local businesses and clients.

**The Role**

Our new trainee Auto Glass Technician will be responsible for providing the highest quality of service and standards of workmanship alongside our experience technicians. Some of the duties you'll be trained to undertake are:

- Repair or replace glass and related materials such as windshields, back glass, passenger door glass and heating elements on vehicles while consistently meeting or exceeding Novus Glass technical standards
- Examine glass for defects prior to installation.
- When necessary, cut glass according to specified patterns, or perform precision patternmaking and glass cutting to custom fit replacement windows.
- When necessary, shape or smooth edges of uneven glass
- Seek and identify all opportunities to increase sales (add on products) and further develop the business of Novus Glass®.
- Consistently and strictly adhere to company Health and Safety procedures using the correct safety equipment
- Use of company vehicle once trained
- Ongoing training & support to enable you to fulfill your potential.
- Other related tasks as required

The Novus Glass® chip and crack repair kit will be provided alongside training in the industry innovative repair methods.

**Selection Criteria**
- Good level of physical fitness
- Good attention to detail and listening skills
- Previous trade or apprentice skills highly regarded
- Ability to communicate with wider repair team and meet deadlines and have high quality work standards
- **Must have a valid drivers licence**
