We are currently seeking experienced and skilled Mechanical Fitters to join our team in Queensland.

**Our Team**

We have a solid team of Mechanical fitters / boilermakers and are constantly expanding our network. We often run marketing campaigns recruiting for more labor, and with recruiting comes bonuses If you or anyone you know signs up with Smart Industrial, a $200 referral fee is up for grabs after 40 hours worked.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance tasks on a wide range of industrial machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical problems, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Install, assemble, and align new machinery and equipment according to specifications and safety guidelines.
- Conduct inspections to identify worn-out parts, components, or systems that require replacement or repair.
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other team members to optimize machinery performance and efficiency.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and company policies to ensure a secure working environment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history.
- Continuously monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to contribute innovative ideas for process improvement.
- Provide training and guidance to junior team members as required.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Relevant trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent.
- Proven experience in industrial mechanical fitting and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and machining techniques.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- A solid understanding of workplace safety practices and regulations.
- Flexibility to work shifts, overtime, and participate in on-call rotations as required.
- Relevant licenses and certifications (e.g., forklift, confined space, working at heights) will be advantageous.
