We are looking for a Principal Advisor Talent. This person is a highly skilled and innovative Talent design and delivery Professional with experience in designing, developing and implementing talent management frameworks and tactics to deliver on the Talent vision for Rio Tinto. Critical to success and a key part of this role is the establishment and ongoing management of a talent management community of practice.

**Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Senior Manager - Talent and working in **a collaborative community **within the Talent Area of Expertise you will be responsible for:

- Talent Framework Design: Develop and implement comprehensive talent management frameworks to identify, assess, and develop talent across the organization.
- Career Pathway Management: Develop and manage frameworks and guidance to enable employees access to clear, structured career pathways; ensuring pathways are aligned with organizational needs
- Lead integration of all talent initiatives into the Employee Life Cycle - partnering with PX, PG/ Functions and other AoEs.
- Set up and lead a talent network of talent managers at the PG / Functional level to deliver the talent agenda and build out the Talent DNA across Rio Tinto.
- Be the key representative on all talent matters across technology, PX and other delivery arms.
- Talent Identification: Ensure design of talent identification processes are and processes remain relevant in identify high-potential employees and critical roles within the organization.
- Succession Planning: Develop and manage succession planning guidelines, tech, support and programmes.
- Change Management: Lead change management efforts related to talent management initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and adoption of new processes and programs

- Successful experience initiating, coordinating and leading significant recruitment and/or HR related projects
- Experience and a level of savvy when managing online tools, technology or programs as well as strong research, data analysis and reporting skills
- The ability to role model the organisation values and behaviours
- The resilience to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing global environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal, with an ability to build lasting relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
- Energy and enthusiasm with a passion for making a difference through managing Talent
