**About the role**

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Language Teacher to work in our school.

We are investigating two Australian Curriculum possibilities and will employ one teacher at the conclusion of the recruitment process, either a teacher of Chinese or a teacher of AUSLAN to lead our school's languages program.

Depending on the Curriculum direction we take which will be determined based on the experience and competence of applicants, the successful applicant will be expected to:

- Develop conversation proficiency and an awareness of the Chinese or AUSLAN language for students in years 4 - 6
- Develop partnerships with school communities, classroom teachers and Education Officers to support learning of students
- Collaborate with colleagues to support, implement, monitor and evaluate innovative ideas, practices and strategies

To be successful in this role, you will be able to meet the following criteria:

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven organisational skills
- A clear understanding of the Australian Curriculum Chinese or Australian Curriculum AUSLAN (Version 8.4)
- An ability to work in partnership with colleagues, students and parents/carers
- Attend in detail to innovative and creative practices
- An ability to identify and cater for different learning styles and Competent at integrating digital technology into a contemporary learning environment
