About the role
RPV, MTIA is seeking to engage a Lead Design Manager. This role is responsible for the management and coordination of the engineering function of the Metro Tunnel Project. The role leads the client-side management of the design, development and engineering process and will also provide specialist technical advice and guidance support on a range of engineering issues across the project. The ability to build, maintain and influence strong working relationships across a broad range of internal and external stakeholders is fundamental for success in this role.

You will be a highly focused and driven person who is passionate about contributing to the delivery of public infrastructure, working within a high-performing project team to drive exceptional outcomes. You will be a qualified engineer with experience working within large projects. You will enjoy a fast paced, performance focused workplace where you will have the opportunity to work autonomously and develop your career.
**You will also have**:
- Extensive experience and proven achievement in managing design and/or construction of the major civil infrastructure component of major metro rail construction projects.
- Demonstrated achievement in integration across the project requirements, engineering, constructability, stakeholder relations work streams
- Demonstrated achievement of an integrated approach to the various rail disciplines and systems in the design and delivery of rail projects.
- Demonstrated significant achievement in the delivery of projects within the scheduled timeframe and budget optimising safety and environmental impacts.
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record in effectively managing complex and highly sensitive negotiations with multiple stakeholders, often with competing priorities.
