About the Role
To provide proactive and high quality administrative, project management and matter management support to the Corporate M&A practice group.
Act as a role model/mentor to the legal support team and work closely with the Partners and Practice Managers to identify and assist with the needs of the practice group.
Ensure timely delivery of high-quality work while managing multiple deadlines, responding to changes, and prioritising competing tasks;
Collaborate with partners and lawyers to manage the entire matter life cycle, including the firm's conflict process, information barriers, content management, and legal project management;
Actively engage with Legal Operations teams to enhance work practices;
Assist partners and lawyers with client and cost reporting requirements by proactively preparing reports, ensuring required information is readily available, and recommending process improvements;
Participate in billing processes, including the creation, editing, and finalization of bills for designated clients/matters in collaboration with LPAM and practice group support staff. Identify and implement process improvements; and
Adhere to WHS obligations and responsibilities as outlined on the intranet.
Skills & Experience
Advanced knowledge and skills in Microsoft Excel, and intermediate knowledge in Outlook, Power BI, SharePoint, and Word;
Demonstrated ability to learn, develop, and implement new working methods and to adopt new systems, including automation, to enhance processes and procedures;
Excellent digital and verbal communication skills for storytelling and influencing key stakeholders within the business;
Strong technical experience in building and maintaining tools and reports;
Demonstrated experience in a support role in a professional services firm, with preference for experience in a legal firm.
