CORE OPTIQUE is looking for an optical dispenser/retail assistant to join our expanding team

About CORE OPTIQUE:
Recognizing the intimacy and necessity of eye health, Corey established Core Optique as a boutique practice that would allow him to dedicate himself to ocular wellness and education, while connecting clients with their optical aesthetic.

Selecting the correct frame and lenses are crucial to the maintenance of eye health. Yet eyewear is a unique accessory, one that is essential for functionality, but also transcends each and every space of the individual. As a result, it is key that clients connect to their chosen eyewear, and feel as though it reflects and speaks to their personality and style.

About the Role:

- Full training & Development provided
- Work in a upbeat environment
- After traineeship you will be awarded with a Certificate IV in Optical Dispensing
- Full Time, Part Time, Casual role available
- Parent friendly hours available

Based at our Paddington practice, working closely with Optometrists and experienced Dispensers, you will assist patients with the selection of their frames, interpret optical prescriptions and provide excellent customer service. This role is ideal if you are passionate about eyewear, fashion and enjoy working with people in a busy environment.

Please note this position may also require you to travel and work from our Mosman site from time to time.

Skills and experience:

- Experience working effectively in a team environment as well as autonomously
- A self-starter with a sense of humour who enjoys variety
- Excellent verbal and written skills with strong attention to detail
- The ability to build genuine and supportive relationships with colleagues and customers
- Optical dispensing qualification will be provided through ACOD
- Previous experience in the optical industry, but not essential.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work to healthcare guidelines (as well as our own high standards)
- Give good clear advice
- Assisting patients with frame and lens purchases
- Making appointments
- Administrative tasks, ordering stock, stock management

**Salary**: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:
