Melbourne, Australia Woofpurnay Veterinary Hospital Full time

Woofpurnay Veterinary Hospital is an extremely busy expanding practice in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Our facilities include a large 2,800 square meter purpose-built hospital that spans over one acre.

The hospital includes fully equipped examination rooms, in house diagnostic equipment and first class surgical facilities with an overhead viewing area. The Australian College of Applied Animal Studies operates out of the building, a registered training organisation offering hands on nursing courses. The building also contains a dog swimming pool, grooming facilities, lecture theatre and hydro bath area. South Eastern Equine Hospital, a specialist centre for the referral of both equine surgical and medical cases also operates as a separate business out of the Woofpurnay building.

Woofpurnay has an established client base of more than 35+ years. We are located close to the freeway only 45 minutes from Melbourne CBD. We are a team of three vets and eight nurses, all long-standing members and highly supportive of one another.

We pride ourselves on having a great team-focused environment that, through the collaboration of our entire veterinary team, strives to provide both best practice for our patients and high customer service standards for their owners. Our team provides learning opportunities in advanced surgery, ophthalmology, behaviour, medicine and imaging.

We have a position available for a new or recent Veterinary Graduate. This graduate will be mentored in their first role to achieve a great starting platform for their new career. You will receive full support from the practice owner and your peer group will provide a great opportunity to increase your exposure to a variety of cases. This role allows you to learn from those that also understand the pressure of your first position and feel at ease asking for advice in a new environment.
