Bayles Stud Hand

Yulong Stud is seeking a suitably experienced horse person to join our team at our Yulong Park property, located at Bayles Victoria, close to the picturesque Mornington Peninsula as a full-time Stud Hand.

Reporting to the Property Manager, your duties would include but not be limited to:

- Daily stud tasks such as feeding, checking horses, paddock/stable maintenance, and horse movements.
- Administering treatments including drenching and assisting with a Vaccination protocol
- Bandaging if needed under the direction or supervision of the Veterinarian and Farm Manager.
- Assisting with the Veterinarians, Farriers, and Dentist ect.
- Some general farm maintenance when required.
- Other ad hoc tasks when required.

The successful applicant will possess the following skills and attributes:

- Experience in the Thoroughbred industry
- Full driver’s license with a reliable vehicle
- Ability to administer treatments and bandages.
- Ability to recognise and respond to horse illness and injury.
- Clear communication skills and attention to detail
- Hardworking with friendly and outgoing personality

The successful applicant will be offered a remuneration package in accordance with experience.
