Architectural Draftsperson

Universal Granite are looking for an experienced draftsperson to join their team, located in Prestons NSW on a full-time basis.

**Tasks & Duties**:

- Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as cutting, boring, edging, etc.
- Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.
- Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
- Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
- Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications.
- Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result.
- Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.
- Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
- Report all operating difficulties and other unusual conditions to immediate supervisor or other authority.
- Responsible for the quality and productivity level of the work performed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and report all discrepancies to management.
- Complete required reports and maintain accurate entries in computer database.
- Travel across job sites and measure stone finishes for different projects.
- Read and interpret plans and drawings.
- Prepare detailed CAD drawings.
- Liaise and correspond with various clients and site managers.
- Other duties as required.

**Skills and experience**
- Current drivers license

Salary from $70,000 -$80,000 + superannuation
