**About the role**

Mater is currently looking for an **Orthopaedic Plaster Technician** to join the team in a **permanent part time role** working **3 days per week, **based at** South Brisbane**. Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, this position is responsible for providing an efficient and effective plaster service to Orthopaedic outpatients, fracture clinics, wards, theatres, and the Emergency Department within the Mater.

The Ambulatory & Outpatient Service offers exceptional individualised care and is committed to enhancing the patient experience by providing education, information and support that evidence based.

**Salary range: $32.23 - $33.66 (Operational Officer Level 3) per hour plus superannuation + salary packaging**

**About you**
- A strong understanding of hospital policies and procedures relating to infection control, cleaning, and plaster room operations.
- An understanding of or ability to acquire knowledge of relevant anatomy, plaster types and orthopaedic appliances.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a busy environment
- Have or have the ability to obtain a Blue Card
