Powerlink Queensland, Queensland’s High Voltage Transmission provider, is currently experiencing a period of unprecedented growth as we transition on our journey in becoming renewable super grid. Our project portfolio is expanding in size, complexity and scope with multiple innovative projects supporting Queensland renewable energy targets. To support this growth, we are seeking a new Accounts Payable/Receivable officer.

**About the role**:
Reporting to the Manager Finance and Tax, the purpose of the Accounts Payable/Receivable role is to ensure all invoices are issued on a timely basis to customers for goods and services provided by Powerlink and payment of these invoices is received in accordance of the invoices due dates and are made in terms of Powerlink’s procurement policies.

Your primary objective is to produce invoices and maintain master records, including the processing of monies received, issuing of receipts and processing of property search requests and payments.

In this role you will schedule creditor payment runs and ensure Treasury staff are advised of daily cash requirements, ensuring creditor records are maintained and all invoices received from goods and services providers are processed and maintained in terms of Powerlink’s procurement policies.

Additional key accountabilities include:

- Manage the banking of all moneys to ensure banking occurs within expedient timeframes. This includes monitoring all petty cash claims processed by the Electricity Credit Union to determine accuracy in terms of Powerlink policies.
- Manage allocated general ledger reconciliations to ensure they are completed and checked within pre-agreed timeframes following month end ledger closures.
- Provide expertise and assistance to other team members to ensure all journal forms are processed and recorded in terms of established policy and protocols.
- Provide support to other team members as required such as during times of absence or periods of high activity to ensure continuity of service is provided at the highest level.

**About you**:
To be successful in this role the applicant will require a Diploma or Certificate in business finance or accounting coupled with significant experience in accounts and providing timely services to stakeholders within a complex organisation.

You will have:

- Demonstrated ability to operate in an Accounts Payable position within a medium to large commercial company utilising an inter-relational accounting software package.
- Demonstrated ability to manage the security and banking of all monies received by a medium sized corporation.
