Pond Technician/ Aquarist

The Fish Works is a business specializing in pond and water features located in Terrey Hills in the north of Sydney and we are looking for someone to join our team. We have built and maintained a large client base that you need to maintain and grow through quality advice.

**THE ROLE**

Due to our expanding customer base, we require more team members for our pond service and installation department.

We are seeking a highly organised, customer service oriented person that will:

- Work with our service technician team in carrying out the daily schedules of sales, service or repairs and client communication for the following outcome:

- Generate sales through product knowledge and ability to match products and equipment to clients needs and build ongoing relationships with them,
- Maintain ponds and water features Sydney wide
- Customer service in our retail/display shop in Terrey Hills
- Pump and filter installations
- On the job marketing in the field
- Up-skill in order to be more effective and efficient - leading to having more ability to quote products for installation and installing simple pumps and filtration system.

The role is available full time basis for the right applicant.

**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**

We are seeking someone with an interest in fish who loves working outdoors and doesn’t mind rolling their sleeves up. Someone that works well in both teams and independently and is keen to learn all aspects of the trade

Experience with pumps and pools will be an added advantage, such as a plumber or a pool technician.

Current Driver’s License and can drive manual preferably

Polite, Professional and Effective communication skills required

Australian citizen / permanent resident preferred

This is a full-time position with 2 months’ probation

Pool, Aquarium or Pond Industry experience will be highly regarded.

Degrees or courses related to biology, marine biology, aquaculture will be highly regarded

Previous experiece as an Aquarist or having experience working in and Aquarium will also be an advantage

Pay 80k PLUS SUPER per year with growth prospects

Working days Tuesday to Friday, 8:30am til 5pm, Saturday 8:30m to 5pm. Overtime available
