To support the planning, development and negotiation of procurement activities for clinical and non-clinical equipment (including capital projects) across Metro North Hospital and Health Service in a client focussed and transparent manner. The role is involved in the delivery of procurement and contract management activities for Metro North covering, but not limited to:

- Clinical and non-clinical equipment
- Panel and Standing Offer Arrangements as it relates to the supply of clinical and non-clinical equipment.

The Procurement and Contracts Officer facilitates end to end procurement activities as directed by the Principal Procurement and Contract Officer.
About you
- Demonstrated ability to support a procurement activity that aligns with this category, including supplier negotiation and involvement of multiple parties
- Demonstrated experience in supporting the management of contractual relationships over short and/or long term contracts
- Problem solving and prioritising skills related to issues associated with this category
- Experience in dealing with customers/suppliers, through written and oral communication, including guiding internal stakeholders through procurement processes as well as ensuring successful supplier relationships
- Understanding of procurement requirements, particularly in relation to legislative requirements for Government procurement activities including financial implications and asset management.
