**The role

As the Performance Excellence Consultant for Premier Banking, you will support the delivery of NAB's strategic ambition to be the leading bank for Premier (mass affluent) customers by supporting expert colleagues to deliver a great customer experience, turning customers into advocates, engaging our people, and generating attractive returns.

Our Premier Banking team will provide expertise (~ 50 colleagues across Australia) to meet the Everyday Banking, Broker and Proactive Engagement needs of Premier customers.

Partnering with Premier Banking leaders, you will drive best practice and consistency of activities nationally and with execution of strategic initiatives, communications, and planning.

You will also focus on driving best practice risk management across a broad range of risk, compliance, and control activities to contribute to uplifting the overall risk environment for Retail.

**Your responsibilities
- Influencing and coaching colleagues to optimise the onboarding process, improve speed to accreditation and proactive coaching to lift capability to better serve our customers
- Partnering with leaders to ensure the highest levels of customer experience & satisfaction
- Growing the leadership capability of the managers in the Premier Banking teams, using Distinctive Leadership models to build strong leaders and embed discipline to uplift overall performance
- Understanding the drivers and actions that impact Premier Banking business performance
- Coaching and consulting leaders, focusing on deposit growth, engagement of broker introduced customers and proactive engagement with Premier customers and, supporting our strategies to drive growth through uplifting performance
- Building relationships with key stakeholders, and coaching colleagues on risk, leave, onboarding, learning, and other areas of the business where required to support the branch businesses performance

**What you will need
- A deep understanding of Retail operations, systems, and processes
- Strong Leadership capabilities, passion for coaching and development of colleagues
- A strong understanding of Retail Risk, Policies, and Processes
- 5+ years' experience in our distribution channels (ideally Retail Banking business)
- Experience and commitment to driving excellence and quality outcomes in the branch environment. In depth understanding of everyday banking products and services
- A strong understanding of Retail branch operations, systems and risk policy and processes.
