Apprentice Arborist

Work with over 8000 trees across varied landscapes
- Full Time, fixed-term apprenticeship (3 years)
- Melbourne Gardens location with travel to Cranbourne Gardens as required

What You'll DoThe Apprentice Arborist, under supervision, will learn how to deliver all facets of arboricultural management and urban forestry curation and assessment. You will be exposed to accurate inspection and assessment techniques which provide for tree auditing and prioritization exercises. Working with the arboricultural team, you will learn safe standards and compliance measures in accordance with RBGV and Victorian Public Sector Code of Conduct policies and procedures. In addition, you will contribute to arboricultural plans including collection management plans, tree strategy, and landscape development projects and learn key skills to convey arboricultural information and advise to relevant stakeholders.
