**About the role**

This is an exciting time to join Santos as part of the Payroll & Employee Records team, delivering payroll services across our workforce. Santos is a leading participant in the transition to clean fuels and is executing an ambitious growth agenda which includes mergers and acquisitions both within Australia and overseas. We are close to two years since the implementation of our SuccessFactors payroll, which was executed as part of an organisation wide programme of modernising and integrating our ERP and HR systems.

This role will play a key role assisting the Payroll Manager to lead a talented and engaged payroll team as we continue our journey to streamline and optimise payroll processes supporting the business.

**Key accountabilities include**:

- Driving the Australian monthly payroll process and off-cycle payrolls, ensuring all relevant legislation and company policies are adhered to at all times.
- Providing day to day guidance and support to the Payroll Team, acting as the first escalation point.
- Supporting with international payrolls as required, mainly Papua New Guinea.

**About you**:

- End to end payroll knowledge, including payroll reconciliations, tax and award knowledge
- Effective time management & organisational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Sound analytical & problem solving skills and strong experience with Excel
- Best practice mindset, and ability to drive continuous improvement
