**Job Description**:
**What you'll be doing**
As our Stewarding Supervisor, you'll be assisting the Executive Chef to coordinate and support our team of Stewards. Your tasks will include:
- Oversee cleaning duties within the kitchen and food preparation areas to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained
- Ensure each outlet is supplied with sanitised, clean and dry operational equipment.
- Contribute to cost control through energy conservation and the careful use of water, cleaning materials and other appliances
- Ensure all operating equipment, crockery, cutlery & glassware is hygienically and safely stored.
- Assist with the induction and training of new Stewarding team members
- Ensure appropriate chemical safety and Occupational Health & Safety standards and practices are maintained
- Provide support, training and leadership to all employees.
- Monitor training and offer guidance to employees whilst on shift.
- Drive the productivity, motivation and development of all Stewarding team members
**Qualifications**:
**What we're looking for**
- Natural leadership skills with demonstrated results in developing and motivating teams, your lead by example approach will be infectious
- Be a calming influence in the midst of a high pressured, fast paced environment, with the ability to sustain and drive positive team morale creating a culture that people want to be part of
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment.
- Understanding of food safety requirements.
- The ability to coordinate multiple tasks whilst maintaining attention to detail
- A high standard of grooming and presentation.
- The ability and flexibility to work across a 7 day roster.
