What does the job look like?

We require a PM Despatch Coordinator to join our team in Somerton working a Monday - Friday roster from 1pm - 9pm This exciting opportunity at Bevchain will initially see you based at our Somerton site with future plans to move to a brand-new facility in Laverton early 2024.

As the PM Despatch Coordinator, you will be responsible for effective and efficient management of drivers and loads to ensure customer demand is met. In this role you will be able to work across multiple systems simultaneously with a high competency understanding of how they flow together.

Your actions will have a direct flow into BevChain financial safety & operational outcomes. In addition to these, you will need to support transport supervisors and managers with achieving KPI targets and the daily management of drivers and warehouse loading departments. Key areas:

- Preparation of driver paperwork inclusive of pallet dockets, con notes, booking passports and others that may be required.
- Communicate expectations and manage relationships with drivers and warehouse to reduce non-driving hours and quick turnaround of vehicles.
- Liaise with warehouse team to allocate vehicles to loading docks to meet load, despatch on time and overall targets.
- Provide frequent communication and data with Management team regarding status and logistics of deliveries/pick-ups to ensure quality service is provided to our customers
- Monitor in shift activity via an internal system to ensure schedule is being executed as planned, and intervene where resources are running behind

You are career orientated, enjoy working in a faced paced environment and have a high level of detail and accuracy. You can demonstrate:

- Proven experience in an administrative role within the transportation industry
- Work across multiple systems and experience working with a Transport Management System (TMS) being advantageous
- Ability to adapt to fast changing demands and requirements
- Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills and the ability to operate autonomously and as part of a team
