**Engineering Manager - Mining Consumables Manufacturer**

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead and manage the the Quality Control Team, overseeing personnel, procedures, and delivery.
- Develop, review, and refine system and work procedures, ensuring compliance with established standards.
- Collaborate on plant safety files and essential site documentation.
- Manage the setup and maintenance of crucial assets, such as lasers and testing equipment.
- Evaluate company assets, recommend future upgrades, and prepare proposals for new equipment acquisition.
- Conduct product failure analysis and report findings.
- Foster international collaboration with the factory on new products, materials, and procurement.

**Engineering Excellence**:

- Execute engineering design projects, both internal and external, overseeing drawing approvals and resource allocation.
- Lead the technical review of engineering design drawing approvals by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Project manage engineering initiatives, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met, and provide regular progress reports.
- Manage job numbers and staff resources for client engineering projects.
- Engage with clients regarding engineering projects and product developments.
- Drive research and development projects and establish a consistent project management framework.
- Oversee the maintenance register, safeguarding equipment longevity.

**Operational Leadership**:

- Prioritize approved fabrication projects through the database.
- Manage work in progress (WIP) to optimize efficiency.
- Supervise heat treatment processes and coordinate with the fabrication manager for trades assistance.
- Provide support for supply chain management of overseas products, tracking shipments and goods identification.
- Collaborate across departments to identify and maximize cross-capability opportunities.
- Innovate processes and reduce costs through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Cultivate relationships with subcontractors and vendors, ensuring quality labor and parts for projects.

**Safety and Compliance**:

- Oversee non-conformance matters, promptly reporting injuries and incidents to relevant managers.
- Ensure work is conducted safely and efficiently, adhering to the companies WHS procedures.
- Prioritize health and safety, both for yourself and others.

**Qualifications**:

- Prior experience in a workshop environment (desirable).
- Previous CNC experience a must
- Valid C-Class Driver's License and Forklift License.
- Mechanical Engineering Diploma.
