As the Operations Supervisor you’ll play a vital role by leading a team of 40+ drivers to help provide valuable waste management services to our customers. Being highly organised you’ll drive the team with strong safety values and people management skills.

You’ll use your positive attitude and natural ability to solve problems to great effect in this role. Did we mention no two days are the same?

**Key Responsibilities include**:

- Leading the site and driver teams to achieve required objectives
- Organising trucks, contractors, rosters, labour hire and route maps
- Ensuring allocation of work is conducted in the most efficient and cost-effective manner possible
- Effective communication with customers, drivers and sub-contractors to ensure collection services and equipment deliveries exceed customer expectations
- Supporting maintenance requirements of the fleet, including ordering of provisions
- Managing the collection of operational data
- Personnel responsibilities such as leave management and HR liaison
- Training and development of the team
- Workplace inspections at site, toolbox talks, hazard alerts
- Ensuring that all WH&S, fatigue management, organisational policies, procedures and local laws are understood and complied with by both internal staff and subcontractors.

**Who you are**:
You will bring the following to this role:

- Prior Leadership experience is essential
- Prior experience in an operational and/or logístical role
- Thorough knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns in the local area
- Understanding of truck and equipment safety
- Excellent planning and communication (written and verbal) skills
- Sound decision making and conflict resolution skills
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently
- Good computer skills, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- A background in operations of waste and recycling, transport/logistics is desirable but not essential.
