**The Role**:
Maxima, and the City of Prospect, are looking for an outdoor enthusiast to undertake a Horticulture Traineeship.

This 36-month fulltime opportunity will see you assisting to create and maintain parks and gardens within the local council area. Develop skills and knowledge in a variety of areas with hands-on experience, and paid study towards achieving a nationally recognised **Certificate III in Horticulture**.

**Duties Include**:

- Garden and grounds maintenance
- Mulch, prune, pot, and water plants
- Use garden tools and machinery
- Brush cutting and mowing
- Pest and weed control
- Install irrigation pipes and watering systems

**About You**:

- Enjoy working outdoors and with garden tools
- Strong work ethic; reliable and punctual
- Ability to prioritise time and tasks when working under pressure
- Works effectively within a team and unsupervised
- Great communication skills
- Have a can-do attitude and willing to learn

**Role Requirements**:

- Current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Physically fit and healthy due to manual labour work
- Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment including a drug and alcohol test
- Previous experience in gardening or similar trades (advantageous)
