**Riverina Water is seeking a Fitter Supervisor to supervise the fitting team and implement maintenance

programmes and responses to achieve optimal reliability and performance of Council's mechanical

equipment. Provide technical advice, leadership and support in implementing and undertaking

maintenance and construction fitting services across Riverina Water to meet water production and

quality standards.***

**The position
**As the Fitter Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and managing the team of Fitters to

ensure the implementation of maintenance programmes and responses to achieve optimal

reliability and performance of Council's mechanical equipment.

**Qualifications and skills required
It is expected that applicants address the key selection criteria and can demonstrate their

competencies and relevant experiences.

**Remuneration and benefits**

Riverina Water enjoys a favourable reputation as a satisfying and rewarding workplace,

demonstrated by a relatively low staff turnover. The Hammond Avenue site is the location of

practical and modern workplaces including the administration, workshops, works depot, store

and main filtration plant. All buildings and vehicles are smoke-free workplaces, and staff welfare

The commencing salary for this position is $100,244 to $112,825. In addition, we contribute

5.5% additional superannuation (17% superannuation for current financial year), and

employees may salary sacrifice or make personal (non-tax deductible) contributions for

additional super.

Our working conditions include a 76 hour,** **9-day fortnight, with opportunities for professional

development and access to long service leave after five years. Additional purchased leave

options are also available.

**Purpose of Position
**Supervise the fitting team and implement maintenance programmes and responses to

achieve optimal reliability and performance of Council's mechanical equipment. Provide

technical advice, leadership and support in implementing and undertaking maintenance

and construction fitting services across Riverina Water to meet water production and

quality standards.**
**Key Responsibilities
**1. Provide supervision, coordination and leadership to the fitting team by allocating work,
monitoring output and ensuring work is undertaken safely and efficiently to relevant
standards.

2. Lead the implementation of Riverina Water's asset management strategies for mechanical
and water treatment equipment including work order and asset information management
utilising Council's computerised maintenance management system.

3. Manage the fitting department’s documentation including manuals, operating procedures,
software and programmes and asset records.

4. Provide project management of the design, manufacture, installation and commissioning of
fitting projects to meet budget, timelines and agreed outcomes.

5. Engage and oversee contractors to ensure designs, standards and workmanship meets
required quality standards.

6. Manage the professional development of the fitting team to ensure staff are trained to meet
technological advances.

7. Participate as a fitting team member to undertake maintenance work including maintaining
and updating pump maintenance records, repair/replacement of pumps, and other
mechanical water treatment plant and equipment ensure equipment is serviced according
