Volunteer - Beach Walks

Are you a keen walker who would like some company whilst taking in your daily dose of fresh sea air? Then Southern Cross Care may have just the volunteer position to suit.
Volunteers have many skills and life experiences that can assist in enhancing the quality of life of our residents by creating opportunities for them to blossom.
**The Volunteer role will include**:
- Assisting the Lifestyle Coordinator in gathering residents in wheelchairs and residents who can walk independently to and from the beachfront
- Sit, talk, relax and enjoy the beautiful beach front with our residents
**Time commitment**
This role ideally suits a volunteer with 15 hours to give per week. However, we work with all volunteers to set up the most suitable days and times for you. Any amount of time you can give, whether it’s a few days a week or a few hours a month, is valuable for our community and much appreciated.

**Requirements**:
Regardless of the role or location, all volunteers require;
- A current National Police Certificate for the Purpose of Aged Care, or be willing to obtain one
- Evidence you have received the 2023 Influenza Vaccination
- Evidence you have received three vaccinations against COVID-19
