Assistant Grants Advisor

**Job Description**:
An excellent opportunity is available for an Assistant Grants Advisor to join the Research Grants and Development Office at Australia’s pre-eminent biomedical research institute.

About the Position

Selection Criteria

Essential Knowledge and Skills:
- Graduate qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent mix of education and relevant experience- Excellent organisational skills, the ability to prioritise tasks, and the ability to anticipate future requirements- Well-developed problem-solving skills and initiative- Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as demonstrated customer service skills in liaising with stakeholders at a variety of levels- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining strong attention to detail- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team- Proficiency in, but not limited to: Word, Excel, Chrome, Adobe Acrobat- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Desirable Knowledge and Skills:
- Familiarity with NHMRC funding schemes would be an advantage

Personal Qualities:
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality- Ability to understand and interpret policies and procedures- Ability to work under pressure and within time constraints- Ability to work as part of a team

Terms of Appointment

This position is available on a casual basis for 16 weeks (30 Jan 2023 to 29 May 2023). Salary is Casual Professional Services Employee Level 5 ($58.09 per hour).
