**The Role**:
An exciting opportunity exists for multiple Medical Laboratory Technicians - Grade 1 to join the team in Anatomical Pathology at Northern Health on a part-time and full-time basis.

This role would suit passionate Laboratory Technician who enjoy working as part of a team to contribute to the production of high-quality work and participation on a rotating roster.

Based in within the Anatomical Pathology team the key responsibilities would be (but not limited to); specimen handling, Embedding and Microtomy of FFPE tissue, data entry, equipment maintenance, block and slide filing, cytopathology preparation, mortuary duties and other general laboratory responsibilities.

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- A relevant diploma of applied science (Medical Laboratory), diploma or advanced diploma in laboratory technology or Laboratory Operations, or equivalent.
- Previous experience working in a diagnostic pathology laboratory and experience in histological techniques is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-changing environment, working both independently and as part of a time
- Have a high attention to detail, organizational and time management skills.
