What’s the job?
- This is an exciting new opportunity to start your Academic career with Torrens University Australia. We’re looking to recruit Associate Lecturer (we call them Associate Learning Facilitators “ALF”) Business Information Systems.

You will play an integral role in our student learning experience (both online and in person), working with Senior Learning Facilitators and Learning Facilitators to ensure students are provided with the best opportunity to attain learning outcomes/competencies, satisfactorily complete their assessment tasks and progress with their studies. You will also participate in moderation activities and are required to be available to provide student support outside of timetabled class hours.

_Involves a two-year commitment and offers flexibility in location, with options in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, or Adelaide._
- Day-to-day accountabilities:
- Assist Senior Learning Facilitators or Learning Facilitators to manage and teach blended/hybrid, online, face to face and/or practical classes, as well as monitor and ensure participation.-
- Manage their own and the student’s time and attention to learning effectively.-
- Ensure the learning experience complies with the strategic goals of the organisation; for example: industry immersion, student employability and engagement with authentic experiences.-
- Create a professional and welcoming environment by modeling respect for students’ diverse cultures, language skills, and experiences.-
- Assess student submissions throughout the study period providing good quality feedback as per policy with SLF supervision.-
- Maintain and supply evidence of appropriate professional development undertakings to update industry expertise and/or experience in the discipline to comply with the regulatory standards required.-
- Collaborate with, introduce and embed Torrens learning support teams to the student learning environments-
- Contribute to the enhancement of the institution through ethical research, scholarship, industry practice and/or creative endeavors as appropriate, ensuring research output is aligned with the discipline and the university’s strategic plan.Who you are:
- Minimum qualification Master’s Degree (OR First-Class Honors) in Information Systems or related field,-
- Ability to work competently and harmoniously with colleagues and students of all cultures and backgrounds,-
- Computer literacy in appropriate discipline-specific and learning technologies as per business requirements,-
- Sound understanding of current scholarship and/or professional practice in the discipline that is being taughtMust have Australian citizenship/work rights/visa that allow you to work for the full 2-year fixed term contract. Sponsorship is not available for this position.How to Apply:
