Trade Assistant

We are only 130kms from the Perth’s CBD and approximately 100kms from the coast. You will work a 7:7 roster so there will be plenty of time to enjoy the lifestyle this area can offer you.

**What you will be doing**

Reporting to the Supervisor - Mine Maintenance, you will be responsible for providing mechanical support to all Trades personnel working on the Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) Fleet, along with the maintenance of the supporting infrastructure and fixed assets. You will ensure maintenance activities are completed in a safe and efficient manner, maximising the amount of scheduled maintenance and minimising the impact of unscheduled maintenance through quality and effective work.

**Who you are**

You will have experience supporting Trades personnel maintaining a HME Fleet in a mining open pit and workshop environment and experience working on Caterpillar equipment.

As a minimum you will have a C class manual driver’s licence and basic computer skills. Ideally you will have:

- A MR Class Driver’s Licence
- A High Risk Licence (crane, rigging, dogging, forklift, elevated work platform)
- SAP experience
- Caterpillar SIS experience
- A Senior First Aid certificate

You will demonstrate your commitment to safety and use your experience and judgement to ensure yourself and your workmates stay safe. Your ability to set good examples of work ethic and integrity together with your positive mind set in dealing with work and people will be highly regarded.
