**About the Role**
- Full-time, (1.0 FTE)
- 1 year contract
- Commencing Term 1, 2023

Seeking an exceptional and passionate upper primary trained teacher to teach in our Middle School campus for the commencement of Term 1, 2023.

Our teaching staff are dedicated professionals who are passionate about providing exceptional learning opportunities that cater for a diverse range of students.

Teaching staff need to be involved in the wider life of the School and hold a willingness to participate fully in the School's co-curricular program.
- Bachelor of Education and or other equivalent academic qualification specific to the specialist area of education.
- Registration with the Tasmanian Teachers' Registration Board (TRB) or the ability to obtain.
- Be willing to work within the School's Christian ethos and actively support the values and philosophy of the School.
- A comprehensive understanding of current educational matters, including the Australian Curriculum.
- Have an understanding of the developmental needs of middle school learners and an ability to encourage, support and challenge students both socially and academically.
- Delivery of an educational vision and purpose consistent with the School’s Mission.
- Be passionate about working with young people and have the ability to engage them in a dynamic learning environment.
- Be innovative in the teaching of curriculum and student learning.
- Outstanding classroom practice and comprehensive experience using Information Technology within the teaching and learning program.
- Be a collaborative team player and positively contribute to the teaching and learning culture of the School.
- Have well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to interact effectively with a range of school community members.
- Show a commitment to the principles of equal opportunity in education for all students.

**Remuneration**

Remuneration is in accordance with the successful applicant’s experience and the St Michael's Collegiate School (Teachers) Enterprise Agreement 2020.
