**About the role**

You will be providing force-free, reward-based training options and behaviour solutions, from puppy pre-school to private consultations. In this role you will contribute to the growth of RSPCA School for Pets by teaching carefully developed curriculums as well as offering one-on-one training and support both in the training centres as well as in home.
- Teach a prepared training class curriculum to both internal and external clients.
- Conduct private training sessions either at venue, in home or online.
- Promote low-stress animal handling practices to reduce fear, anxiety and stress wherever possible.
- Support staff, volunteers and members of the public by providing theoretical and practical learning opportunities and advice.
- Assist with on boarding, coordinating and training the School for Pets volunteers.

**Who are we looking for?**
- Extensive experience in force-free, reward-based training and a passion for animal behavior.
- A formal Qualification in Animal Training/ Behaviour highly regarded.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking.
- Ability to work as part of a team and support your colleagues, as well as working independently to solve problems.

This is a casual position, **including regular weekend shifts**. Remuneration is as per the RSPCA Qld Enterprise Agreement for Shelter Staff based on applicants experience and qualifications.
