**About the Role**

The NPWS Greater Sydney Branch leads implementation of a range of programs across more than 50 National Parks and reserves including Royal National Park, the second oldest national park in the world, and Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, the second oldest national park in Australia. Our parks host more than 19 million visits each year and we are delivering a major program to improve visitor infrastructure in key visitor precincts and enhance heritage buildings and places, many of which are listed on the NSW State Heritage Register and/or the National Heritage List.

We are looking for a project officer who wants to work as part of a small team delivering improvements to our visitor facilities and park assets including but not limited to new buildings, maritime infrastructure, walking tracks, amenities and carparks. The role will be required to travel within greater Sydney to manage the planning and delivery of the works.

**About You**

The role is required to work collaboratively with a range of teams within NPWS and you will need to be adaptable and flexible in managing competing priorities in a demanding and complex work environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a team committed to conserving and improving visitor access to some of the state’s most significant natural and cultural assets.

You will plan, deliver and evaluate diverse and complex projects, ensuring completion within required deadlines, quality standards and at or below budgets to support the achievement of Divisional and departmental strategic and operational objectives.

**Essential Requirements**
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent relevant working experience in project management.
- Experience in development and delivery of projects, including the development of project plans, monitoring of project timelines, budgets and reporting requirements, and contract administration.
